The story of Hotel Las Torres begins in 1905, when Antonio Kusanović Jerčić, originally from the Croatian island of Brač, arrived in Punta Arenas at just 15 years old. Decades later, his son Antonio Kusanović Senkovic and Amor Eliana Marusic acquired Estancia Cerro Paine, transforming a livestock operation into a pioneering family tourism project.

Founded in 1992 with only nine rooms and a restaurant, Hotel Las Torres has evolved into a model of sustainable and regenerative tourism, deeply committed to environmental preservation and education.

In 2004, the family established Las Torres Conservancy, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting the local ecosystem and restoring the natural balance of the reserve. That same year marked “the last cattle drive,” symbolizing the end of ranching in the area and the family’s full embrace of conservation.

Today, Hotel Las Torres blends heritage, innovation, and environmental stewardship. The property now offers 74 fully renovated rooms, along with a redesigned lobby and Bar Pionero, both reimagined by architect Pedro Kovacic and designer Enrique Concha.

The hotel is part of the Las Torres Patagonia Natural and Cultural Reserve, strategically located at the gateway to two of the world’s most famous trekking routes — the W Circuit and O Circuit. Guests are immersed in pristine nature and breathtaking mountain scenery, enjoying all-inclusive programs, day excursions, guided treks, and exclusive horseback rides.

Hotel Las Torres also houses the southernmost bio-intensive vegetable garden in the world and, together with Las Torres Conservancy, leads landmark conservation efforts such as the reconstruction of the iconic Base Torres trail, which leads to the park’s most celebrated viewpoint.

At the Coirón Restaurant, every dish tells the story of the land — Magellanic lamb, calafate berries, rhubarb, and native herbs are transformed into haute cuisine creations using ingredients from the hotel’s own garden and trusted local producers.

The Bar Pionero complements this philosophy with sustainable mixology and environmental education, featuring “zero-waste” cocktails crafted under the direction of bartender Federico Gil.
